• DisclaimersThe WMC-Connect listserv is designed to connect providers, families and others in the Western Massachusetts area who care for children and youth with special heath care needs (CYSHCN). It's a forum for sharing information about health care issues and resources throughout the region to improve care for all children.
Because the WMC is a regional affiliate of the Massachusetts Consortium for Children with Special Health Care Needs, information and ideas that are generated here give our region a clear voice in statewide system improvement activities.
In order to increase distribution of the listserv topics, a quarterly digest of all discussions will be compiled in hard copy.
Confidentiality
While not open to the general public, this listserv should not be considered secure. Messages that contain personal information should not be forwarded to others without the writer's consent. Information that is considered confidential and posted on someone's behalf should not have identifiable information in it. Anyone not following these confidentiality guidelines will be asked to stop and may be removed from the listserv.
Netiquette
Please make sure to use the subject line in your e-mail so that everyone knows what kind of information your e-mail is looking for or provides. A lot of people skim subject lines to read what is important to them, so the most meaningful subject line will get the most response. When replying to someone else's e-mail with an RE: please make sure your e-mail is really about that subject; otherwise, start a new e-mail with a new subject line on your own.Please do not write messages in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS unless you want everyone on the list to think you are angry. EMAILS SENT ALL IN CAPS GIVE THE IMPRESSION OF SHOUTING.
Please be considerate of others' feelings and use appropriate language at all times.
Please know when you respond to an e-mail it will be going to the entire group. If your response is appropriate for only the original author to read, please e-mail that individual directly.
Promoting Business
While WMC-Connect is designed to share information and resources, it is not to be used to promote personal business or personal gain. These e-mails will not be allowed by the moderator and not be posted.
WMC-Connect is moderated for everyone's safety. All messages are screened by the moderator before being posted to the general community.
To post a new message to the group: Send an e-mail message to WMC-Connect@listserv.BHS.org.
To respond to a message: Open the message you want to respond to and click �Reply.� Type your message and click �Send.� Note that your message will be sent to the entire group.
To subscribe: Enter your name and e-mail address in the WMC-Connect subscription form. Note: WMC-Connect is hosted through the BayState Health web server, so you will be leaving this site.
Once you subscribe, you'll receive an e-mail message with a confirmation link. You must click on the confirmation link to complete the subscription process.To unsubscribe: Enter your e-mail address in the WMC-Connect "cancel-my-subscription" form. Note: WMC-Connect is hosted through the BayState Health web server, so you will be leaving this site when you click on this link.
The WMC-Connect moderator and the WMC Steering Committee reserve the right to change or amend these rules at any time as needed. Membership will be terminated for those who misuse this listserv at any time after a warning has been given.
