Western Massachusetts Consortium
for Children with Special Health Care Needs

The Western Massachusetts Consortium (WMC) for Children with Special Health Care Needs is based at Baystate Children's Hospital in Springfield. In the sparsely populated western part of our state, it's creating ways for parents and professionals to connect, share resources, and have a voice in statewide initiatives.

• WMC operates WMC-Connect, an electronic network for providers, families and others in the Western Massachusetts area who care for CYSHCN. Learn more about WMC-Connect or subscribe now.

 

• WMC held its first public meeting on October 27, 2005.  Eighty-one attendees discussed the region's existing resources and most pressing needs for families caring for children with special health care needs, and Gail Havelick of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health led an informative training session on Public Benefits for Children with Special Health Care Needs.
